Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge is backing the Bulldogs' pack mentality to curb the influence of rampant Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield.

The Dogs take on the Cats at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night, and Beveridge says he won't send a tagger to Dangerfield, at least initially.

The Bulldogs regained fullback Marcus Adams for the clash of top-four hopefuls, with the impressive defender set for a big job on Geelong spearhead Tom Hawkins.
